LOCAL – 161 Kms!

When I say LOCAL, I mean LOCAL! Can't buy happiness buy localLocal food is my passion! I can tell you which field and farm each pound of meat was raised.

EVERY animal is from my farm or one of the amazing family farmers who grow for me.  Its a point of pride for me to tell you I have worked hard to establish these awesome relationships.  I am so thankful and proud of the legion of talented Organic and Eco Farmers I partner with. I can tell you where each cut of meat was raised at anytime.
AND they are real Farmers, actual farmers!  NONE of the meat I sell comes from a meat wholesaler.  Can your local butcher shop say that?  Ask, I was surprised to find out the meat sold in some local butcher shops comes from anywhere in North America.  Not here!
No point in selling local food, if you don’t spend the money in your local community!  So I do.  I buy from the local hardware store, I only use local butchers, and transportation companies and feed suppliers.
I focus on ensuring the funds generated by my farm business business enriches the local economy.  This means the suppliers and vendors, Farm Partners and Butchers I use are as close to my farm as possible.
98% of ALL my suppliers and vendors are located no more than 161 kms from my farm.  Small family run businesses working to make a difference in the local economy.
94% Of all my expenses are shared among these local businesses.  94% of the money I spend to operate the farm business, the day to day things all happen within a 161 kms of my Farm.
Think about it, feed, fencing supplies, hardware and building supplies for repairs, tractor parts, butchering, fuel, all local.  That is pretty awesome!  AND, that is truly what local means!
